Why do we support local partners?
Afghan-led organisations are best placed to understand the humanitarian needs of Afghan communities, and to define their development objectives. 'Local Partners' include formal NGOs, cooperatives, social enterprises, networks and more - any organisation where Afghans are working together to support recovery and growth.
As an international organisation, WfWI Afghanistan is committed to supporting Afghan organisations on their own terms, by making holistic resources available and accessible.
Who we are
WfWI Afghanistan works with women affected by war and conflict to grow, thrive, and support their families and communities. Since 2002, we have reached over 130,000 vulnerable and marginalised Afghan survivors, including widows and those directly impacted by violence.
WfWI Afghanistan is part of a global organisation, that has reached more than 616,000 marginalised women survivors of war and conflict in 17 countries around the world.
