Organisational learning and strengthening our capacities and capabilities is a continuous requirement for healthy, effective organisations. While there is an important place in this process for trainings and workshops, true capacity building is a much more comprehensive and long-term process, and one that is unique to each organisation and context.
While we can all improve in various ways, the priorities for development within each organisation depend on the work you do, the evolving contexts in which you do that work, and your starting point. An important role for the leadership of each organisation is to define these priorities, and map out your learning journey. This journey may include formal trainings, either in person or online, and may also include informal learning sessions, collaborations with sister organisations, on-the-job mentorship, internal (or external) thematic discussions, etc.
In consultation with our current partners, we have identified a number of areas for participant-led capacity building. For each of these areas, we have developed some tools to help start your organisation's learning journey.
We hope to build and expand this area as our experience and partnerships deepen. If you have materials that you would like to share, please let us know. All materials will be provided in Dari and Pashto.
